Rabat Mausoleum of Mohammed V
Mohammad Al-Khamis Ben Youssef Ben Mohammed Al-Alaoui or just Mohammed V. (* 10 August 1909 in Fès; † 26 February 1961 in Rabat) was Sultan from 1927 and King of Morocco from 1957.
The Mausoleum Mohammed V. is located on the square where the largest mosque in the Islamic world was to be built. What remains of it is the half-finished minaret. The Hassan tower is still the symbol of Rabat.
Das Mausoleum Mohammed V. steht auf dem Platz, auf dem die größte Moschee der islamischen Welt entstehen sollte. Übrig geblieben ist davon das halbfertige Minarett. Der Hassan-Turm ist dennoch das Wahrzeichen von Rabat.
